We manufacture all our engraved oak signs using top quality planed oak.
Oak is renowned has a heavy, strong and durable wood and providing that it is maintained it will last a lifetime. We finish all our oak signs will danish oil this will need to be re-applied periodically to maintain the signs appearance.
Our custom made engraved oak signs can be engraved with a selection of fonts and infilled with a variety of colours. We can also add borders, mounting holes and certain types of block graphic artwork as shown below.

Important Material Information:
Oak is a natural product, this means that variations in grain, texture, shades and colours can occur. Any natural product such as wood contains knots and burrs that are an attractive feature of the material. We do at all times try to use oak timber that has minimal levels of imperfections. If you are wanting a flawless material with no imperfections then wood is not the material for you.
Maintenance Information:
Please note that oak signs are NOT maintenance free and they need to be maintained periodically (every 12-18 months subject to placement i.e: sun, wind, rain). Without periodically re-applying a coat of danish oil the sign may become susceptible to water ingress which may seep in under the danish oil and could gradually turn the grain in the wood black. Danish oil can be re-applied with a cloth and only takes a couple of minutes to re-coat.
