We manufacture all our engraved slate signs using top quality slate.
Slate is renowned has a heavy, strong and durable wood and providing that it is maintained it will last a lifetime. We finish all our oak signs will danish oil this will need to be re-applied periodically to maintain the signs appearance.
Our custom made engraved slate signs can be engraved with a selection of fonts and infilled with a variety of colours. We can also add borders, mounting holes and certain types of block graphic artwork as shown below.

Important Material Information:
Slate is a natural product, this means that variations in grain and shades can occur. Any natural product such as slate can contain veins that are an attractive feature of the material. We do at all times try to use slate that has minimal levels of imperfections. If you are wanting a flawless material with no imperfections then slate may not be the material for you.
Maintenance Information:
Slate signs are virtually maintenance free. The slate just needs cleaning periodically with warm soapy water.
